Our employees are the beating heart of our business as bulk fuel specialists. Their dedication to delivering service excellence is something we are proud of and is a philosophy we instil in our initial and on-going training at Bulk Fuel Australia.
Our training plays an essential role in the current business environment. We believe they are worth investing in, with regular staff training made a priority to help develop team members with our bulk fuel supplies, identify career goals and encourage life-long learning.
It’s no secret that ongoing staff development is a key asset in driving businesses forward. It’s a great way to keep up with industry changes, be in touch with all the latest technology developments, identify industry and skills gaps, advance skills, promote internal promotion opportunities and increase job satisfaction. If on-going training isn’t a priority in your business, we encourage you to make it a part of your 2018 development plan.
Along with empowering our staff, the effects of our training programs spread to our customers too. With highly skilled and confident staff members who are well-versed in the correct procedures and compliance, you can guarantee stellar service that’s aligned with your unique business needs.
Our initial training
Every person involved with Bulk Fuel Australia requires training in all aspects of the operation — even if they feel they are already familiar with it. Training is not a once only event, but a continual investment that is made by all parties. Just as training a new contractor is a vital ingredient in getting them to maximise sales, so too is gaining commitment of all — Bulk Fuel Australia staff as well as contractors — to ongoing training and development to sharpen skills and improve performance.
From contractors to business development managers, each staff member engages in a mandatory course on the overview of Bulk Fuel Australia operations, procedures and in-field training.
Ongoing professional development
We also provide five days of additional training per year, which is mandatory for all field representatives, distribution managers, drivers and contractors.
The training covers driver safety, customer service, lubricant training, salesmanship, advertising, product handling, telephone techniques, stakeholder engagements, first aid, fire protection, safety and emergency, as well as operations and procedures updates.
We also ensure all of our staff are ahead-of-the-curb when meeting legislative and compliance requirements. This means regular safety audits are conducted to ensure our vehicles and operators are complying with all statutory regulations regarding the handling, packing and storage of bulk fuel.
