Our September photo of the month competition saw a strong field of competitors from our team, but there can only be one winner and that winner is David Browne with this great truck photography shot of one of our tankers conquering some challenging terrain to refuel plant and machinery at the Eton Range project in Central Queensland.

The $189 million Eton Range project is one of the region’s largest civil infrastructure projects, located on the remote but busy Peak Downs Highway west of Mackay. The project involves major earth moving and engineering to widen the existing highway, reduce the gradient of the highway and partially realign the carriageway, which is used by more than 4,000 vehicles every day. Construction contractors, Fulton Hogan began work on the project last year.

The realignment project will improve road safety and efficiency on this vital transport route between the coal mines in the northern Bowen Basin and the regional transport hubs in Mackay.
