It’s that time again. Every month Bulk Fuel Australia holds a Photo of the Month competition for their staff members around Australia. We’re sent everything from tanker and truck photography to on-site jobs that look impossible, yet are achievable with our versatile bulk fuel fleet.
Delivering fuel in a hurry
This month’s photo hails from Anzac Square located in Brisbane and highlights a touch-and-go situation which arose after a high-rise power generator building lost power. The building was using a backup generator to power the site while the mains issue was being fixed. While the government might not have minded the afternoon off, the building managers were keen to keep the power flowing and to do so, they urgently needed a 4000L bulk fuel delivery straight into the generator.
No power? No problem. Here’s how we generate power with fuel
In Australia, any number of events can cause a power disruption, with Queensland (in particular) experiencing severe storms, bushfires, cyclones and floods – sometimes all in the one day. Luckily, most Queenslanders are savvy to the wild ways weather affects their state and are known to always having a backup plan in place such as a power generator.
The most obvious inconvenience when a business loses power is the staff’s inability to work. Many of you have probably experienced this before. Staff are often sitting around unable to do work until the electricity is sorted. The largest implication could be lost files and lost time. Yet for large operations, such as supermarkets, water and sewage plants, hospitals and data control centres, there are major health, technology, equipment and technology implications when not supported by emergency power.
Fear not. Australian businesses are required by law to have back-up power immediately available and enough so that they can operate at full strength for prolonged periods of time – crucial for widespread natural disaster zones.
To maintain continuous power, generator fuel needs to be in full supply. That’s where Bulk Fuel Australia comes in. As you can see in our Photo of the Month, our versatile and nimble fuel tankers can manoeuvre into tight city spaces, with our adaptable hoses reaching up to 30 metres, for those hard to reach sites.
