This month, our December photo of the month is a bit different. Instead of our usual truck photography, taken of one of our tankers on site, usually in a rugged, remote or complex re-fuelling area, we’re featuring our BFA bulk fuel delivery vehicle at the premises of our Final Filtered Diesel^® filtration partner HYDAC, in Banyo, Queensland to participate in their filtration tests.

Conducted on 26 November 2016, the tests involved taking online fuel samples before and after the filtration process.  We snapped a photo of HYDAC applying their HYDAC FCU1000 inline Particle counter to diesel samples taken from sample points along the fuel line before and after the HYDAC filter was installed.

In tests conducted so far, across our fleet of Final Filtered Diesel^® filtered vehicles, we’ve seen a massive improvement on the reduction of particle contamination in the fuel, well below the ISO 4406 requirement of 22 parts per 40,000 particles > 4 micron.

Together with HYDAC, our fuel quality filtration partner, the testing process is continuing and the full results of our tests, taken over a 12-month timeframe, will be released early in the New Year. Keep an eye out to see how our Final Filtered Diesel^® fared.
