Whether you’re the owner of a farm or the project management of a civil construction site, it’s only natural that you’d want to save time and money where you can. With fuel for plant and equipment being one of the larger expenses, finding the right refuelling solution will be a top priority.
That’s where onsite refuelling can help. Whether you need on-site diesel refuelling or are powered by petrol fuel, Bulk Fuel Australia can supply bulk fuel to you anytime and anywhere – sites large and small. Here’s a look at how we do it.
How does on-site refuelling work?
How well does it feel when everything runs smoothly? Running smoothly in your world might mean all your vehicles, plant and equipment is fuelled before your workers even arrive. Ready and waiting in your email will be a detailed data report on what equipment was refuelled, the odometer reading, volume, plant type, plant ID, order number, engine hours, price and more. It’s all the things you need to cost the calculations of Fuel Tax Credits, simplifying the costing requirements of your project.
On-site diesel refuelling can work in two ways: direct into equipment or direct into your on-site fuel storage unit. Each of our fuel tankers is fitted with a full hydraulic pumping system which is attached to the PTO and is only activated during the pumping operated for increased safety and speed of service.
Our diesel refuelling procedure
You can rest assured that all our Bulk Fuel Australia representatives have conducted essential training and induction required to operate our vehicles, scope the area, aid and safely supply fuel to the required machinery.
Our on-site diesel refuelling thrives on the TAKE FIVE standards: Personal safety, environmental hazards (including weather conditions), manual handling, plan the task and contingency plan.
When we enter a site, our Bulk Fuel Australia representative will take a long list of site-specific safety precautions into consideration including (but not limited to):
- Taking note of and adhering to signage at entry point
- Ensure all personal protective equipment is in place according to specific site requirements
- Surveying the immediate area to identify potential hazards and equipment on-site
- Contacting the site supervisor/foreman where required
- Not proceeding within the working vicinity of the machine until receiving all-clear
- Parking fuel tanker as close to, but not behind the machine as is safe to do so ensuring working room for other machines or vehicles in the immediate area.
Along with our stringent safety procedures, Bulk Fuel Australia complies with all the requirements for the storage and handling of dangerous goods in accordance with Australian Standards AS 1940 – which is the standard that covers the storage and handling of flammable and combustible liquids.
Why our customers love on-site refuelling
