Every month, we put Bulk Fuel Australia staff member’s creative skills to the test for our photo competition. From drone-captured pictures of bulk refuelling to truck photography to stunning shots of Australia’s agricultural landscape at every angle, our team capture behind-the-scenes moments of how everyday Aussies keep the country moving forward.
Novembers winner captured some brilliant drone-captured photos of our team supplying 10,000 litres of bulk fuel to Jabiru, a small town 25km west of Emerald in Central Queensland. This massive 10,000-acre property was ready to do some blade ploughing via the D10 pictured in the foreground and needed an experienced team to safely fill up the customer's fuel storage tank.
Storing fuel for agriculture
Fuel is one of the largest expenses for farmers across Australia, with some of the larger players spending up to six figures on powering their farms with fuel every year. Many farmers choose to cut down on long-term fuel expenditures by buying in bulk and storing fuel for their agricultural season in on-site fuel storage tanks.
Choosing your fuel storage tank is completely dependent on the tasks at hand, usage requirements and the kind of set up your farm has. Whether you’re trying to decide between an above ground cylinder tank on a tripod stand, an on-ground tank or an underground storage system, our blog on A farmer’s guide to fuel tank options will help you decide.
Bulk Fuel Australia can assist with the supply of safe self-bunded fuel storage tanks for your farm, which ranges from 2,000L up to 80,000L, and depending on your needs can incorporate a range of pump and meter configurations. Using Final Filtered Diesel® in our fuel storage tanks will also reduce a number of particles entering your engine, giving you better performing agriculture plant and equipment with a longer life.
Buying bulk fuel for your farm
Of course, storing fuel on your farm isn’t the only thing you need to consider for maintaining a happy, productive and profitable farm. As fuel prices are likely to fluctuate between low and peak seasons, so it’s wise to synchronise when you buy fuel in bulk to the low season, so you can make purchases at a consistent price. As the fuel market is highly complex, remember to budget for contingencies and price rises rather than “predicting the market”.
With regular maintenance of your fuel tanks and a supplier who provides high-quality diesel, you’ll benefit from extended-life on all your fuel-powered fuel equipment, long-term savings and reduced downtime. If you’re looking for a reliable fuel supplier who can deliver in a hurry and in any environment, contact Bulk Fuel Australia today.
