Bulk Fuel Australia sponsors the Coyote Racing Team
- 22 September 2017
We are excited to announce that Bulk Fuel Australia has partnered with the Coyote Racing team as the major sponsor for one of their drivers, Trevor, for the 2017/18 racing season. The Coyote Racing team compete with compact speedcars – the original vehicle of speed racing.
This sponsorship came about by Ashley Mitchell’s (Bulk Fuel Australia’s director) passion for speedcars and racing. Bulk Fuel Australia have been sponsors of Queensland Compact Speedcars since 2016, and are now extending their sponsorship to Coyote Racing.
The Coyote Racing Team made the announcement on their Facebook page on August 21 saying, “on behalf of Coyote Racing, I'd like to welcome aboard Bulk Fuel Australia as the team’s major sponsor.”
One of Coyote’s main supporters, Overwatch – a boots on the ground, response organisation supporting the needs of the Australian Defence Force, past and present – promoted the announcement as well as the team’s new vehicles before commending Coyote Racing on their work raising awareness for the prevention of suicide among veterans
“We would like to acknowledge and highlight the efforts made by everyone in the Coyote Racing Team for their contribution to raising awareness of our organisation (Overwatch) and their participation in preventing and reducing the suicide rate amongst all veterans in our community”.

A little about the world of compact speed car racing
Compact speedcars arrived on the Australian racing scene in the 1950’s, with the basic concept involving the engine restricted to a maximum of a 1.4lt production type car engine or a 1.1lt motorcycle engine. Due to the high power to weight ratio, compact speedcars are incredibly fast and can compete within seconds of most V8 engine vehicles such as Sprint cars and V8 Dirt Modifieds.
Its niche success comes down to its accessibility, with any man or woman able to work on and store their vehicles without the need for a pit crew, making it easier for racing hopefuls to engage in the sport – regardless of whether they’re sixteen or sixty.
You can catch the Coyote Racing team at the Archerfield Raceway throughout October.
